Audible: Audio Entertainment App Reviews

This is one I use on a daily basis while commuting to and from work.

iPhone 6s Plus iOS 10.3.3: I am updating my review again. It is still a one star app. Audible is completely unresponsive to customer wants/needs. I have continued to receive a "thank you for your suggestions, we will think about it" message for the last 9 years. The app is almost impossible to do book searches without the exact title, and there is no feature to search by genre or series. With over 1200 books (many purchased on sale or as a random suggestion), it is almost impossible to find a particular genre without opening each books details. Fix this, please. YOU ALREADY HAVE THE DATA! Depending on your technical debt, how hard can this possibly be to incorporate?! If there was a way to manually sort my own books into folders, I would take that, too. Please do something! I guess this is partly my fault for continuing to purchase books and supporting you. Previous redundant review: For the following reasons I am changing my rating from 4 to 1: I have been begging for at least 5 years to be able to search my library by genre. You buy them with this organization, why cant I search this way?! I am so irritated with the lack search options. I now own 955 books, and no helpful ways to search through them. The app has become increasingly slow, and crashes way more often. Why do you need an internet connection to start playing my book that is already downloaded (very slow startup)? Even if you just fixed the first two issues, I would rate this app 5 stars. My experience is that Audible is not responsive to customer needs. Previous rating: I listen to audible everyday, and I have almost all positive things to say. It is a very reliable app with great customization on speed, rewind buttons, and sleep timers. Every update has made the experience better. I wish a few search options were available to make this app perfect: Search by series Search by genre Search finished books (to share with friends after a good read) I have almost 1100 books in my library, and it is very difficult to find a new book unless I know the exact title or author I am looking for. Sometimes I am just in the mood for a mystery, and I dont care who the author is, how long it is, or when I added it to my library. Aside from limited search options, this app is fantastic! I highly recommend it to everyone.

Dont know what I would do without it

This is a great way to enjoy books especially on the go. Also a great way to fall asleep, work out, etc.

I never been a reader, but now I listen to audible and it really helps me get to relax and enjoy books.

Use this APP on my iPhone 6 Plus and I love the convenience of this app. I can listen on my iPod and pick up on the iPhone...I love audible.com and this app is great!!

Love the app. Its so easy to use. And I love the selection Audible has for audiobooks.

I ADORE Audibles! I commute 3-4 hours each weekday, and Audibles is wonderful. It helps me unwind in my car and relax, plus make the time more valuable, and less of a "waste". Also, its nice that you get a book and dont like the narrator, or the book isnt exactly what you thought it would be, you can return it., no questions asked, although I rarely need to do that. A monthly fee, but you get a book credit for each fee, and lots of books cost more than the fee, which makes it totally worth it. Plus they have sales often. Give a try, you have nothing to lose.

The best audiobook app I have used. Its not full of free books, but it works very very well.

This is very useful for not wasting time! Learning or entertainment during your commute!

I have been a member of Audible for 7 years and the app has just added to my enjoyment. It is easy to use and I love having it on my phone, so I can always listen.

App extremely reliable, never crashes or forgets my place. Easy and intuitive interface. Well done!

Audible is the most comprehensively curated audio library on the planet. I cant get enough!

The app occasionally will not show books on the device tab after downloading book. Restarting the app seems to work.

Its great

Love this app so much. It combines both things I love in this world and its books and audio of those books. I like how I can re-listen to past purchases as many times as I want and how every month my library grows. Another plus for me is that if I dont like a certain story or voice I can return the audio for a credit that I can use later.

Ive liked this app from the first time I started using it. The only thing that would make it better is if you could make in app purchases.
